OUR COMMITMENT

Big Town Contracting Ltd. is committed to providing our clients with honest, professional and guaranteed landscaping services.

ABOUT US

Big Town Contracting Ltd. is an incorporated company, owned and operated by Mr. Domenic Maiorano and Mr. Santo DeBartolo. We have been in the business for over 25 years. During these years we have established a clientele of major development corporations, including projects for major municipalities, various townships and major insurance companies. For these clients, we provide services that include new landscape design and/or construction and repairs to existing landscapes, snow plowing and/or removal, salting/sanding and general contracting. Also, we provide programs that consist of landscape maintenance, snow plowing and groundskeeping for our clients.

Our residential customers have enjoyed our expertise in landscape design, construction and consultation. We have been able to create backyard oases for our customers, allowing them to escape from the fast pace of life without ever leaving their homes. This includes installing plants, flowers and shrubs that bloom throughout spring, summer and fall. This leaves the garden with a colourful display of plants all season long. Natural stone, cultured stone and flagstone are used in a creative and innovative manner when creating these backyard getaways. We have experience in the installation of pools, water features, outdoor kitchens, Zen gardens and countless others. In essence, we have been able to extend living space to the outdoors. Front and side yards are also blended creatively and beautifully with the entire home and according to the clients needs and wishes.

Our design, construction and maintenance teams pride themselves on paying attention to the smallest details, and therefore providing the best service possible. We have great pride in our history of success and with the satisfaction of our past and repeated customers. Our experience can help enhance our customer's property and make their visions a reality.

We hope that the preceding information is sufficient so that we may gain your trust in our professionalism and guaranteed service. We are hoping that you will have enough confidence in us that you will add us to your contractors list for any future estimates that you may require from us. You may be interested to know that we are fully bonded and insured for all liabilities pertaining to work performed by us. Also, all our employees are covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. Any clearance certificates can be provided upon request.

We look forward to a long and satisfactory business relationship with you.

WAYNE E. RENAUD

WAYNE E. RENAUD

Landscape Designer (B.Sc.; M.L.A.)

My landscaping expertise dates back to 1984, with a varied portfolio of projects ranging from New Brunswick and British Columbia in Canada to work in Kissimmee, Florida, and on the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands. I have had extensive experience working on a wide range of landscape projects in both size and complexity: residential, condominium, commercial, industrial, institutional and government projects (highlights: St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, St. Thomas; The Donwood Institute/Phase II, Toronto; Covenant House, Toronto; Irving Oil Refinery master plan, Saint John, NB; Irving Oil Headquarters, Saint John, NB; Moncton Times Transcript/Phase II, Moncton, NB; Unipress, Fredericton, N.B.; 110 Bloor roof garden, Toronto).

I was a professor of design and construction at the University of Guelph from 1988 to 2000 and offered a course manual for the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program. I was also a senior partner of Renaud Webber Design Consultants in Mississauga from 1990 to 2007 and taught an interior planting design module for two years at the Humber College of Interior Design in Etobicoke.

As a result of my experiences, I have had extensive expertise in presentations for a variety of forums (garden conferences, condo boards, residential clients, undergraduate and graduate classes, etc.). The well-designed garden makes the house a 'home'. A successful garden design provides an equal balance of expanded seasonal usage with outdoor fireplaces, water features, fire pits and outdoor kitchen and terraces, all surrounded by sights, sounds and fragrances of nature at its best, expanding the blooming season from the first winter aconites and snowdrops in March to the last witch hazels and saffron crocuses in October and November. Let me become part of your dream garden team.
